The Job List

What we paint.

Residential and small-commercial. If your project is on this list, we have done it more times than we can count.

Reference photos shown below are stock -- we will email recent Anchorage project photos and homeowner references during your estimate so you can see the actual work.

The Crew

Local. Small. On time.

Arctic Painting & Contracting has worked Anchorage homes and small commercial buildings out of the Arctic Boulevard shop since 2008. We are a small crew on purpose. One job at a time gets our full attention -- the prep work that makes paint actually last through an Anchorage winter.

You will get the same painters from the first day to the last. Drop cloths down. Furniture moved. Surfaces washed. Cracks filled. Two coats, brushed corners, rolled fields, sprayed cabinets where spraying belongs. When we leave, you should not be able to tell we were there -- except for the new color.

If you have called another painter and they did not call back -- we will. That is the whole pitch.

Before you call

The eight questions we hear most.

How fast can you start?

Interior projects in shoulder season we can often start within 1-2 weeks. Summer exteriors book out 4-6 weeks ahead, so call early -- we will give you an honest date, not a hopeful one.

How is the estimate done?

We come to the property, walk the rooms or the exterior with you, measure, ask about colors and finishes, and email a line-item quote within 48 hours. Estimates are free and there is no hard sell.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes -- Alaska-registered painting contractor, general liability and workers' comp in force. We will email proof to you or your property manager before the first day on site.

How do you handle Alaska winters?

Exterior work is summer-only here, full stop. Anyone who tells you they can paint siding in February is selling you a callback. Winters we keep crews inside on interior repaints, cabinets, and commercial work.

What paints do you use?

Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore as standard. Cabinet jobs lean on harder-curing waterborne enamels. We will spec the right product line for your surface and your budget.

Do you do drywall and prep, or just paint?

We patch nail holes, scuffs, and small drywall damage as part of the job. Larger drywall repairs, texture matching, and woodwork we coordinate with our regular sub or build into the quote up-front.

What does it cost?

Most interior single rooms land between $450 and $900 depending on ceiling height and prep. Whole-house interiors typically run $4k-$12k. Exterior repaints vary widely with square footage and prep -- a quick walk-through gets you a real number.

Do you take card?

Yes -- card, check, or ACH. Deposit is 25 percent to hold the date, balance on completion after a walk-through with you.
